The carnival feeling is in the year and the promoters and entertainers have delivered an atmosphere that is nothing shy of excellence as they wind down the week-long activities in the Festival Village with international performances.

Maxi Priest delivered.

With several of his all-time greatest hits, Priest showed the BVI revelers why after decades of performing, his name is still synonymous with excellence in the reggae music industry.

He even treated the crowd to something or rather someone different – his son Marvin Priest who was an immediate hit with the BVI crowd especially the young ladies.

The young vocalist’s talents were unquestionable as he demonstrated what could be a genetic evolution to superstardom.

The duo performed excellently side by side delivering pulsating rhythms to a gyrating crowd of revelers with no distinctions significant enough to separate them.

Up and coming Dancehall superstar Konshens steered the party in another direction with hits of his own, setting the stage for the VI’s own Rock City and Showtime Band. These two performances were the reflection of Virgin Islanders loyalty to their own products as the crowd could have followed almost verbatim as they did what they do best – perform.

Meccabe and CP4 also added to the flavor of the festival’s Reggae Night.
