Sophia “SoJay†Jackson, a talented singer/songwriter from Toronto, ON is set to release her debut album later this month that will serve not only to introduce you to her music, but re-introduce you to the soulful sounds of R&B – SoJay is preparing to release her debut album later this month on April 20, 2011 at a release party taking place at Locus144 in Liberty Village, marking new territory in the career of this multi-talented singer-songwriter whose neo-soul brand of music is sure to ignite a new love affair with the genre shared with greats such as Marsha Ambrosius and fellow Canadians Divine Brown and Glenn Lewis.  SoJay, who lives in Toronto, ON, has put the final touches to the album entitled “It’s Time We Officially Meetâ€, and is now preparing for the imminent release that will hopefully build upon her fan base and get her music heard by more people than ever.
The album, which has been several years in the making, has been a labour of true dedication and genuine love of music for SoJay, who intends to lure you into her world with perfected blends of jazz, reggae and pop rock. With a collection of never released material, SoJay hopes to emerge as one of Toronto’s most celebrated artists by capturing the attention of new fans, industry personnel and respected colleagues with her thought-provoking lyrics, smooth seductive vocals and live, grassroots delivery.

SoJay invites you to join her on Wednesday, April 20th to SoJay – Smooth, Soulful, Seductive at Locus144 located at 171 East Liberty Village Street in Toronto for the official release of her album “It’s Time We Officially Meet†which is already available for purchase digitally on iTunes and CD Baby. The evening partially sponsored by the venue (Locus144) shall feature a signature fixed menu for $25 highlighted by selections hand-picked by SoJay herself, cocktails, and a live performance accompanied by an all-star line-up of guest singers: Carlos Morgan, Natasha Waterman, and St. Peter Miller. Dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. and SoJay set to take the stage at 10:30 p.m. Admission to this special evening is only $5 at the door.
