Every article on CaribFlyer follows a structured research process designed to verify claims against primary sources before publishing. Here is exactly how we work.
Where do our facts come from?
We prioritize primary sources in this order: peer-reviewed clinical trials and systematic reviews from PubMed and Cochrane Library, government health agencies including the National Institutes of Health, the FDA, and the WHO, official product documentation and safety data sheets, and established medical textbooks and pharmacopoeias.
We do not cite other blogs, social media posts, or promotional materials as evidence for health claims.
How do we evaluate evidence quality?
Not all studies are equal. We assess the study design (randomized controlled trials carry more weight than observational studies), the sample size and statistical significance, whether results have been replicated by independent researchers, and whether the research was funded by parties with a commercial interest in the outcome.
When evidence is limited to preliminary studies, animal models, or small sample sizes, we state this clearly in the article.
How do we handle disagreements in research?
Where studies conflict, we present both findings and explain the likely reasons for disagreement, such as differences in dosage, population studied, or study duration. We do not cherry-pick the study that supports a preferred conclusion.
How often do we update content?
Every article carries a “Last reviewed” date. We aim to review and update each piece at least every 30 days. When significant new research is published, we update the relevant articles within one week. All updates are noted in the article metadata.
How do we handle corrections?
If we discover an error in a published article, we correct it immediately and note the correction visibly in the text. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will investigate within 48 hours.
